Samhain: Between the Worlds
Thinning of the Veil: A Samhain Ritual
No one can deny the magic of October. Autumn leaves start to fall, the air turns cold and crisp, and there is a smell of pumpkin spice around every corner. For many of us, however, the end of October brings a highlight of the season. Halloween is a time of great fun, but the origins of this holiday represent something more significant and sacred.
Samhain is an ancient, Celtic holiday that marks the transition into the cold and darkest part of the year. In this liminal time, the veil thinned between the living and the dead, and spirits could pass freely between the worlds. Feasts were prepared, food was shared, and fires were lit. The festival of Samhain helped people transition into the darkness for the next six months, and attune our consciousness with the inner realms.
In modern times, this ritual has been adapted to help us connect with the magic of Samhain. Similarly to times of old, we honor the ancestors and loved ones who have passed and consider what death has to teach us about living well. The Samhain festival marks the last harvest, the completion of the reaping, and it’s an opportunity to let go of old patterns and embrace the lessons that the shadows can bring.
Join VortexHealing® teacher Lorraine Goldbloom and astrologer Laura Campagna for a magical and spooky online healing event Samhain: Between the Worlds on Wednesday, October 28, from 8-9:30PM ET.
We will explore the mystical origins of Samhain and share in a ritual to open to the special kind of magic that comes with the thinning of the veil. Lorraine will offer a healing to open psychic perception and support the letting go of our old ways to open to something new.
Participants are invited to be ready with a candle, journal and other items for the ritual. Everyone is welcome to come in costume to make the evening even more special.
Space will be limited for this event. Latecomers may not be admitted.
